Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global inroads into the Latin pop culture. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 received the Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song for 2017. The album he released as his debut ADN was released in 2017 by La Industria Inc., a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 in the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca, which was an album that was a Top Five smash hit in 2010 featured him along with Ozuna. Mala Influencia is his collaboration with Noriel in 2020. In the following season, Dopamina became his second album. He also performed as a duo TINI for her hit streaming track Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo was brought up in a musical environment, because both his mother and his older brother are musicians. In interviews, Turizo declared that music is essential. When he was a kid was playing the ukulele as well as piano. The first choice for his career was to be a vet, but his brother Julian encouraged him to learn singing with a Cuban teacher.
