Rosalia

Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is an Spanish pop and flamenco singer. Her work has been in the margins of traditional and popular music since her teenage years, she has also delved into different styles like hip-hop soul and trap. Pepe Haichuela, a flamenco guitarist and renowned musician has described the voice of this young artist as sharp with sweetness but with bite. El Mal Querer is her second album, made available in 2018, which has been a commercial and critical success. Following Los Angeles, her debut album, released in 2017, got a Latin Grammy for Best New Artist and also a Latin Grammy nod. In 2021, her track La Fama with The Weeknd was released. It was her third studio album. Motomami offered songwriting collaborations with a variety of producers and artists such as Cory Henry and James Blake. The set came out in March 2022 after a Saturday Night Live performance featuring the hit song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia became the first Spanish artist to sing solo on the program. Motomami, Rosalia's album that was awarded the three Latin Grammy Awards also made her the first female to have an award for Latin Album of the Year be awarded twice.
