Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico, was born to the music-loving parents of her family. The majority of her youth listening to music from the past, boleros from the past, ranchero traditional or romantic songs and older classical songs. Ana enjoys tangos and drama and opera. Her mother taught her to sing. However, she began more intensive vocal training through Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. the singer was famous as a Mexican opera tenor. She continued her musical training through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. While a young student and professional, she performed with many chamber groups and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. When she moved to the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current place in southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Alongside being an active performer as well as an instructor the passion for arts and music keeps her engaged in a wide range of initiatives. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher of the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to have the opportunity to be able to share her love for traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will encourage younger generations to continue the tradition.
