Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) and Chris Watson (born in Paris). She was moved to Oxfordshire at the age of five years old and attended at the Dragon School. Emma was just six when she made the decision to pursue a career as an actress. She trained for several years in Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a Part-time theatre school located in Oxford where she was taught acting as well as singing. When she was ten, she was performing and taking as the main character in several Stagecoach productions and school plays. Casting began in 1999 for Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Agents for casting found Emma through her Oxford theater teacher. David Heyman announced to Emma that, after auditioning for eight times they and Rupert Grint were chosen as Hermione and Harry Potter. Emma's first appearance on the big screen was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone that was released in the year 2001. The movie beat all previous records for the opening weekend and numbers, and was the most-recorded 2001 movie. The film was praised by critics who praised the film, particularly those who were young. The well-known British paper The Daily Telegraph called her performances admirable. Emma's performance received nominations and later won awards for the movie.
